About:

My name is Alejandro,

From the age of 10, I helped my dad repair automobiles, and after many years of training, I became an auto mechanic. I then took some training to work as an electrician and received a proper education through Wolfenson Electric. While there, I was Honored to receive the award for apprentice and “Student of the Year.”

I am married with six beautiful married children, and now we have 12 grandchildren. They are a blessing to our family.

My destiny introduced me to the Dental Industry, where I trained and used all my mechanical automotive experience and electrical training to apply it as a dental technician.  Furthermore, I received manufacturing training from Adec, Gendex, Planmeca, Carestream, and Vatech and completed online training from other manufacturers like Ramvac, Air Techniques, and Dean Equipment.

Frequently Asked Questions

FAQ's

How Long Do the Filters Last?

Under normal conditions, the Pre, Carbon, and Deionization cartridge should be changed annually. The Hydro-Pure Membrane only needs to be changed every 3 years. Checking the water quality weekly with the provided TDS meters will help you keep ahead of any required filter changes.

Can I Use the Hydro-Pure System for Something Other Than Filling My Autoclaves?

Yes. The Hydro-Pure system can be used to fill dental bottles and other dental/medical equipment that uses distilled quality water in your office. This water will be great for drinking if the Hydro-Pure system is equipped with the Ionizer/Mineralizer cartridge.

Do I Need to Shut the Hydro-pure System Off at the End of the Day?

Water to the office should always be shut off at night, preventing water damage should any water lines leak. If the office has a water solenoid shut-down system, turn the switch off before leaving for the day. Otherwise, the system can be turned off by closing the inlet feed valve. (Cold Water line)

After Purchasing the Hydro-Pure System, Are There Any Special Installation Requirements?

The only requirements for installing a Hydro-Pure System are cold water (3/8” valve-stop cold water supply) and a nearby drain. Most offices install the Hydro-Pure system into the base cabinet of the sterilization center. No electricity is required for this system unless the water pressure is less than 50 psi. (Water pressure less than 50 psi will need a booster pump)

Can the Office Personnel Change the Filters, or Does It Take a Service Technician?

Changing the filters is not all that hard; however, most dental offices have a trained service technician or maintenance person come in and replace the filters.

Will the Hydro-Pure System Save Our Office Money?

There is certainly a huge saving in staff time and convenience. There are no trips to the store for water or expensive water delivery services. The capital investment can be quickly recovered in these cost savings.

Is It Necessary to Test the Water With the Handheld TDS Meter?

The handheld TDS meter is provided for testing the output water weekly. Water should be tested weekly for water quality (TDS) with the TDS meter that was provided with your system. Water quality should meet your autoclave manufacturer’s requirements for TDS. If the product water quality does not meet your autoclave manufacturer’s needs, please refer to the maintenance schedule on page # 13 in your installation, operation, and service manual
